Aspire Credit Union is extending its hours adding late-night services, education, and loan application perks for its attendees. Kicking off our inaugural event on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, we are excited to provide extended hours to 7:30 PM for our members to come to do their business.  In addition to serving our members, we invite the community to our location at 1430 South Broadway, Minot to learn about how credit unions are different, and have a chance to open a membership. The drive-thru will also be open the extended hours.

“We are excited to launch our educational series,” shared Mindee Kohlman, CEO of Aspire Credit Union. “It’s been something we have talked about for a while, and we are pleased to offer extended hours in conjunction with our seminars.”

Being offered quarterly, we will pair late nights with different educational topics that are concerning to our members based on recent surveying.  We will offer each training session twice.  Our first education series will focus on Credit Cards and Fraud.  If you have ever wondered about credit cards, how they affect your credit score, why you should spend significantly less than your limit, or how to manage credit card debt – this would be a great 20-minute seminar to attend.  Promotionally, any member or non-member that comes to Aspire and opens an Aspire Credit Union Visa Credit Card in the month of February, will receive double points on all transactions for the first 30 days. (Subject to credit approval and membership eligibility.)

Fraud is our second topic. Fraudsters do not discriminate when they find victims fall to their schemes, so this educational topic is perfect for all ages.  We will go over some real-life examples of people being defrauded and ways to navigate those situations.  Additionally, we will provide pointers on how to protect your cards. Give you information about CardHub, a system that allows you the control to turn your cards on and off. Lastly, have you wondered who covers those transactions when the Credit Union refunds fraudulent charges, we will be educating you on that, too.  A good tip is when in doubt, stop in, text, or call us directly at our local number (701-837-5353), and we can help.

For our community friends who are in the market and looking to apply for a loan or are looking to open a credit card, we are extending special offers for those applicants that come to the credit union during our late-night hours. We will waive the document fees for any member or non-member who comes to the credit union during the hours of 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM and apply for a loan or open a new credit card. All loans qualify for this promotion and are subject to normal credit approval and analysis.
