Your accounts and deposits are safe
Your accounts and deposits are safe, cash isn’t.
There’s no getting around that these are scary times. Social media and the news continue to remind us that certain supplies can be in short demand. But don’t let that uncertainty extend to your money. In fact, your money is safer in your credit union than in your pocket, under the mattress, or in a shoebox.
Your deposits continue to be insured with the full faith and credit of the United States Government. And debit cards, credit cards, electronic transfers will continue to work as we overcome COVID-19.
Your accounts are not at risk, but a large pile of cash you think is needed is nothing but a risk. No one will replace hat cash if it’s misplaced or stolen, but your payment cards can be cancelled and replaced with a few mouse clicks.
If you’re still concerned about the safety and practices of the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) or the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration), the entities are hosting a joint webinar titled Your Money is Safe at a Federally Insured Financial Institution on Thursday, April 16th, at 1:00 pm. We know there’s a lot on your mind these days, but Aspire Credit Union is working hard to make sure the safety and security of your money isn’t one of them.
