Month 3: Fueling Futures with Backpack Buddies

Our third month of partnership with Souris Valley United Way focuses on a vital program that helps fight childhood hunger—Backpack Buddies.

This program ensures that children who may face food insecurity at home don’t go hungry over the weekend. Each backpack is filled with easy-to-prepare, kid-friendly meals and snacks that help fuel growing bodies and minds—because no child should ever have to worry about their next meal.

How You Can Help:
We’re collecting the following non-perishable, kid-approved food items in the lobby throughout the month:

• Mac & Cheese Cups
• Applesauce (individual cups or pouches)
• Beef Jerky Sticks
• Fruit Cups
• Ramen Noodles
• Chef Boyardee (pop-top cans for easy opening)
• Granola Bars

Your donations go directly into the hands of local children who need them most. With your help, we can make sure every kid has the nutrition they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
