Aspire Credit Union is pleased to announce the recipient of our annual high school scholarship to a graduate of Glenburn High School. To qualify for our scholarship, a graduating senior must be a member of Aspire Credit Union and write a one-page essay about one of the 7 cooperative principles we follow. This essay recipient wrote about a credit union’s impact on democratic control highlighting how every member no matter what is in their savings or checking account qualifies to have one vote. She stated “Members feel like they are not just customers, but owners and co-operators of their financial institution. They are interested in its success and responsible for using its services wisely and ethically.”

Karli Klein will be continuing her education at Northern State University in South Dakota in the fall. Klein shared she will be attending school to pursue biology. Aspire Credit Union was pleased to present this future leader with a big check on May 30, 2023. Congratulations, Miss Klein, we wish you all the best of luck.

Karli is pictured with retiring CEO Mindee Kohlman and Aspire’s new CEO, Kevin Vigested.
